Digital Drawing: Skills to Sketch and Draw with Digital Media
Digital Drawing: Skills to Sketch and Draw with Digital Media

Overview

Improve your drawing skills while using digital devices! In this class your device will be your sketchbook, the blank white screen, your paper and your stylus, your pencil. While you will learn the basics (layers, opacities, brushes, colors, saving, etc.) focus will be on bettering your drawing ability and seeing the stylus and the screen as tools and surfaces for making interesting drawings. The class will simplify the digital drawing process - throughout you will never be asked to use more than two digital brushes. We will start from a white screen and build drawings the same as you would traditional drawings, (we will not do photo editing, short cuts, or complex digital tricks). Artist Michael Sherman will guide you through this process through discussions, daily exercises, and demonstrations.
