92NY’s Center for Children and Family provides an exceptional array of programs designed to support children at every stage of their development.
For Dancers with a proficient technical base, this Class prepares students for an advanced environment and pre-professional skillset through adapting increasingly advanced technique to different styles of Jazz Dance.
Styles covered in this course will include introductions to the street influence of Jazz Funk, the rich and broad styles of Musical Theatre (including the styles of Bob Fosse, Michael Bennet, and Susan Stroman), Commercial Dance and Lyrical. Students are encouraged to develop their individual style and attitude with a firm technical base.
