Larry Keigwin believes that “the art of choreography is about excavating personalities, shaping stories, and building communities.” In KEIGWIN + COMPANY’s Let’s Make a Dance classes, we share the company’s collaborative process whether you’re a dancer, dance in the privacy of your living room, or have never hit the dance floor before, ALL are welcome. No previous dance experience required — just enthusiasm, energy, and a sense of humor. From the first moment to the last, we create collaboratively using a playful spirit to guide the group through improvisational games and tasks, with an aim for individuals to uncover the joy of their unique physicality and creativity while delighting in shared experience of movement and creation.
