Students will examine the historical foundations that shaped today’s realities, including the rise and fall of empires, colonial legacies, the creation of modern states, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the shifting role of global powers. By placing current events in their historical context, this class equips learners with the tools to better understand both the roots of conflict and the possibilities for peace.
