Women and the Theatre

Apr 28, 1996

Playwrights Wendy Wasserstein and Anna Deavere Smith discuss Wasserstein’s first children’s book, Pamela’s First Musical (1996), which tells the story of a young girl’s first Broadway musical experience on her ninth birthday. Wasserstein and Smith then reflect on their own childhood influences in theater, and share their upcoming works. The discussion concludes with audience questions.
