92NY’s Center for Children and Family provides an exceptional array of programs designed to support children at every stage of their development.

The Dance Therapy Alternate Route Program offers a unique pathway to access the dance therapy field. This intensive program includes three weeks of coursework throughout the duration of three summers, providing comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge towards becoming registered as a Dance/Movement Therapist with the American Dance Therapy Association.
Summer 2026 marks the third and culminating year of the current cohort.
The program will run from 9am-6pm, June 7th - June 26th (no classes on Saturdays). Courses include Methods III, Theory III, DMT with Children, and DMT with Psychiatric Clients (135 hours).
Requirements: Participation in Year 1 and/or Year 2 of the current cohort.
