Jewelry I: Foundations (Beginner)
Jewelry I: Foundations (Beginner)

Overview

Play with fire – learn to make jewelry by hand, from scratch. In this longer session, discover the foundations of jewelry fabrication in metal. We will cover sawing, filing, soldering, piercing, texturing, polishing, forming, and stone setting. The three core projects of this comprehensive course include constructing a band-style ring or cuff bracelet, a bezel setting, and a prong setting for cabochon stones. Create your first ever pieces of jewelry with real technical and material knowledge, no prior experience required. This a prerequisite for Jewelry II: Expanding Techniques.
