92NY’s Center for Children and Family provides an exceptional array of programs designed to support children at every stage of their development.

This is an intensive, 24-week class, designed for students looking to write a first draft of a memoir, work on a memoir in progress, or a collection of personal essays.
There will be weekly craft-based discussions on topics such as story development, voice, and style as well as reading assignments from a diverse array of published work. Registered participants will submit a draft or outline of their proposed memoir project prior to class, which all students will read before the first session.
Class meets on Tuesdays, for 24 classes beginning November 17 and ending May 11, skipping all major holidays.
Students are chosen on the basis of a manuscript submission. Applications must be received by Tuesday, November 3. View the submission guidelines and submit an application for this class.
Scholarship assistance is available. Applications must be returned to Scholarship Services at least two weeks before the first session.
