In this three-session workshop, you'll write a living narrative of your religious journey (yes, you’ve had one -- potentially including embrace, rejection, or a “situationship” with God). Our journeys are each unique and deeply personal, and at the same time often share universal elements. With a supportive group, we'll explore formative life experiences from childhood to the present, trace spiritual threads, and ask how our stories have shaped our own understandings of the world, the sacred, and ourselves.
We will share our writings with the group (to our level of comfort), discuss what it means to grow spiritually, and conclude by exploring possible next steps. Please plan to set aside at least 15 minutes, five days a week, during the period of this workshop for writing and reflection. The sessions will be held on Thursday April 30th, Thursday May 7th and Thursday May 14th.
