Overview

Get a taste of batik in this hands-on session that introduces the fundamentals of this layered textile process. You’ll work with wax resist and fabric dyes to build pattern and imagery, learning how designs develop through successive steps of waxing and dyeing. With guided instruction, you’ll complete a small batik piece while getting comfortable with the tools, materials, and rhythm of the process. This class is designed as an accessible entry point that balances structure with experimentation. All supplies are provided, so you can focus on making and enjoy seeing your work come together.
