• Bring only what you need and can carry.
• Suggested – Opliy Portable Camping Stool on Amazon. A small, lightweight, foldable stool. While I try to situate our class near benches in Central Park, the benches are not always in the most scenic places for painting. A portable, lightweight, short stool is nice to have. I like to spread my supplies, paint palette etc. on the ground so I can hold my paper and dip into the watercolor while I am seated. I don’t like the tall tripod stools because it is too much bending for my back.
• Water to paint and drink. Snacks, hat, sunscreen, bug repellant.
• Lightweight portable painting palette.
• Small sketchpad.
• Watercolor pads, bound books or blocks. Plan on doing 3-4 watercolor paintings and sketches.
• You should be able to carry everything in a backpack or bag.
