• Watercolor brushes: Flat brush 1"; round brushes: #6, #10, #12, #14 (Recommended brands: Princeton Velvetouch; Silver Black Velvet); a couple of cheap, small, synthetic flat and round brushes — dollar store grade works best
• Watercolor paper 8”X 10” or 9” X 12” 140 lbs. weight (Recommended brand: Arches Cold Press — green cover. Note: buy the block NOT the pad. The block has black glue-bound sides.)
• Cheap watercolor paper for practice
• Roll of Artist's tape
• Covered/ folding palette and a plastic 10- well paint tray (or ice cube tray)
• Watercolor paint tubes: Sepia; Ultramarine Blue; Phthalo Blue; AZO Yellow ; Alizarin Crimson or Quinacridone Rose (Recommended brands: Daniel Smith; Winsor & Newton; Schmincke; M.Graham; Da Vinci)
• Containers for water, 2 (anything from the recycling bin will do)
• Small sketch pad
• Graphite pencils: 2H and 6B
• Plastic eraser
• Kneaded eraser
