For four decades, Peter King has had a front-row seat to the NFL — and no one has seen, reported, and told the story of the league quite like he has.
On the publication day of his new book, The Game, King joins us for a conversation with ESPN’s Adam Schefter about the people, teams, rivalries, controversies, triumphs, and defining moments that have shaped the modern NFL. From locker rooms and sidelines to owners’ offices, from traveling aboard the legendary John Madden Cruiser bus to sharing moments with the biggest names in the game, King has cultivated unparalleled access throughout his extraordinary career. He has broken countless stories, earned the trust of players, coaches, and owners, and gathered a trove of stories and insights that no one else can tell.
The Game is the culmination of that remarkable career: a vivid, insider’s chronicle of the NFL in all its complexity, drama, and glory, from one of the game’s greatest storytellers. In conversation with Schefter — the NFL’s preeminent newsbreaker and one of the most trusted voices in football — two legendary reporters go behind the headlines to reveal what really happens inside the league, from the stories that changed franchises to the personalities who shaped an era.
