Cheer on our first-ever NYC marathon team!

running marathon

For the first time, 92NY is an official charity partner of the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. And four determined runners are going the distance for a cause close to our hearts.

On Sunday, November 1, more than 50,000 runners will take to the streets for one of New York City’s most exhilarating traditions. This year’s race marks the 50th anniversary of the Marathon’s five-borough course, and 92NY will be part of the excitement.

The four runners supporting 92NY are Noah Berch, Maddie Coyte, Samantha Pajonas, and Adam Sadowsky. They’re training to conquer 26.2 miles, from Staten Island to Central Park, while raising funds to support the programs that make 92NY a vital part of New York City life. Why are they running for 92NY? Because like the marathon itself, they believe that it is an indispensable hub of community and culture in our city. “As I prepare to run my sixth New York City Marathon, I am proud to support The 92nd Street Y and help sustain a cultural institution dedicated to the arts, education, and community,” says Berch. “92NY holds a special place in my heart because its classes helped bring my dream of creating jewelry to life,” says Pajonas. “I am proud to run on behalf of 92NY and support its commitment to making arts and cultural education accessible — a mission I believe is essential to preserving creativity and community in New York City.”

“Living on the Upper East Side has given me the opportunity to call 92NY my home gym,” says Coyte, “but it is so much more than that to this neighborhood and the city. When I leave the gym, I see toddlers heading to childcare, and older adults heading to any variety of the services 92NY has. I look forward to raising money in benefit of 92NY so that their programs can continue to help New Yorkers of all ages flourish!”

Every donation, large or small, brings our runners closer to their goals and helps 92NY continue making a difference. Want to cheer the runners on along the route the day of the marathon? Join us on the west side of First Avenue between 91st and 92nd Street between 10:30 AM-6 PM for a day unlike any other in NYC. They’re putting in the miles. Let’s help them cross the finish line.
