Yonit Levi and Bianna Golodryga in Conversation with Julianna Margulies: Don’t Feed the Lion

Grappling with Antisemitism and the War in Iran

Mar 16, 2026

In a moment when war in the Middle East dominates headlines, and its ripple effects are being felt in Jewish communities around the world, CNN’s Bianna Golodryga and Israeli Channel 12 anchor Yonit Levi come together for a timely conversation about what this moment means for families and for the future, as well as an urgent one-on-one with Bianna and Yonit, two venerated journalists, about the war in Iran.

Since October 7, both journalists have been reporting from the front lines – in Israel and on the global stage – as antisemitism has surged and young people increasingly find themselves confronting hostility in classrooms and online.

What does it mean to grow up Jewish right now? How do we talk about antisemitism honestly? What does allyship look like at a young age? And how do we help kids face hatred without letting it define them? These urgent questions led Levi and Golodryga to write Don’t Feed the Lion, a children’s book that begins with a Shabbat dinner interrupted by a viral antisemitic post and follows the ripple effects through a family, a school, and a community. The book “gives kids the tools to recognize and stand up to hate” (Jake Tapper).

Joined by Emmy Award-winning actress Julianna Margulies, Levi and Golodryga will explore how young people and the adults who care for them can respond to antisemitism with clarity, courage and empathy, in a world that feels increasingly unsettled.
