Two-time Coty Award-winning and internationally celebrated designer Jeffrey Banks joins Fern Mallis on the publication of his new memoir Storyteller: Tales from a Fashion Insider. Banks’ remarkable path in fashion catapulted him from an internship at Ralph Lauren at just 17 to designing with both Lauren and Calvin Klein while still in school to launching the eponymous menswear line that helped establish his signature American design style. Hear him talk about his journey, the creative and business challenges of establishing his brand, and the celebrities who wear his clothes. Hear what it’s like being among the featured designers in The Met’s fabulous Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibit. And learn about the passions that go along with the style: Banks’ advocacy for diversity in fashion and his tireless support of the next generation of designers.
