The Future Dance Festival builds on 92NY’s rich legacy of presenting the work of pioneering dance artists who propel the art form forward.
Conceived as a virtual showcase in 2021 when 92Y’s building was closed due to the pandemic, this year’s festival has added an in-person performance on the stage of Kaufmann Concert Hall as part of the Harkness Dance Center’s 2021-22 Mainstage Series. Kaufmann Concert Hall is where audiences witnessed iconic artists including Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, Jose Limon and Pearl Primus push boundaries, on this historic stage, audiences experienced the evolution of an art form.
Please note: The May 26 in-person performance will include partial nudity.
