Women On Wall Street: Are They Moving Backward?

Jun 10, 2013

In this clip, the panel featuring financial commentator Sallie Krawcheck, CEO of Metropolitan Capital Karen Finerman, and CNBC’s Melissa Lee discussed the current status of women on wall street.

Krawcheck suggested the advancement of women in business has stalled to the point of moving backwards.

We went into the downturn with Wall Street being sort of a white, male, middle aged bat…and we came out whiter, maler, and middle-aged’r.
She also points out that research shows more diversity in gender at the top of companies reduces financial risk.
