Absolute Beginners Jewelry Intensive

Instructor: Honey Jeanne Laber

Students should come to class with the following supplies, suppliers are listed below:

Sketchbook and pencil
Metal:
- 20 ga copper sheet - 6"x 6"
- 18 ga sterling silver sheet - 2" x 3"
3 or more round cabochon stones - 7mm, 8mm, and/or 10mm

Note: semiprecious, inexpensive options can be sourced at Dikra Gems, such as amethysts, garnets, carnelian, and more, all priced in the $4-10 range. Cash is recommended, mention 92NY and Honey Jeanne.

The 92Y will provide the following supplies:

Half round 8” file
Sawblades (2 dozen each minimum) #2/0
Fine Sharpie
Sandpaper 4-pack (silicone carbide, wet/dry) one sheet each of grits:
- 220, 320, 400, 600
6" metal mm ruler
Pliers
Set of needle files
Wire cutters
