This season, Discover Dance celebrates storytelling, community, and empowerment through movement. The 2026-27 program features Dorrance Dance and Camille A. Grades 2 & 3

This program strengthens your school’s arts instruction, supports physical and social-emotional development, and inspires students to connect with movement in meaningful, lasting ways.

Bring the energy and artistry of dance from the stage directly into your classrooms. Led by professional 92NY Teaching Artists, students discover the joy of movement while building cultural awareness and creative confidence, culminating in two live performances featuring some of New York City’s most acclaimed dancers and choreographers. By engaging with a wide range of dance traditions, students develop a deeper understanding of dance as a powerful form of expression, community, and storytelling.

Grade 6 & 7

With a curriculum adapted especially for 6th and 7th graders, this program strengthens your school’s arts curriculum while helping students express themselves, build teamwork skills, and connect to global dance traditions in powerful, personal ways.

Whether students have years of dance experience or are stepping into movement exploration for the first time, this program meets learners where they are. Designed for both 6th and 7th grade students, the residency is led by a professional 92NY Dance Teaching Artist who guides participants through movement fundamentals, creative expression, collaboration, and storytelling through dance. Students explore how movement communicates ideas, emotions, and cultural traditions while building confidence, coordination, creativity, and teamwork skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
