Building a Painting Practice (Advanced)

Overview

Take your painting practice to the next level with an in-depth look at how artists solve problems and push through blocks in the studio. Whether you’ve been painting for decades or recently picked up a brush, you’ve likely experienced issues with “painter’s block,” motivation during sustained projects and deciding how best to curate your work to exhibit. Each week, this class will introduce techniques and exercises to help you break through to the next level of your journey. Creative prompts and exercises during class will encourage group discussion about process and the end of semester will culminate in a class show at the Art Center.
