At the 92NY School of Music, children’s music classes begin in early childhood and grow with each student. Families may start with The Music Room, continue into Play, Move, Groove, Xylophone, and first instruments.
When children are ready for more structured study, typically around age 5 and up, families may choose group classes or private lessons based on readiness, interest, and family preference. Group classes offer an accessible, lower commitment way to begin an instrument with other students, while private lessons are available for children ready for individual instruction.
Led by experienced educators, 92NY gives young musicians a clear pathway to explore music, build skills, confidence, creativity, and a lasting love of music in a warm and supportive setting.
