Overview

New to ceramics or looking to refine your techniques? This class welcomes both beginners and those with some experience who want to explore handbuilding and wheel throwing. You’ll start with essential skills like wedging, centering, and pulling forms on the wheel, as well as slab, coil, and pinch construction. As you gain confidence, you’ll have the opportunity to refine more complex forms, experiment with features like handles and spouts, and explore surface decoration techniques such as slip application, sgraffito, and carving. With demos, hands-on practice, and individualized guidance, this class provides the structure and flexibility to support your growth at your own pace.
