Intro to Screenwriting with Dan Perlman

Overview

This course is designed for writers of all levels who are ready to focus on developing material. Whether you are sitting on a scattershot first draft of a short film, a handful of unfinished sketches, or a half-hour pilot that’s been gathering dust for years, this workshop provides the structure and professional feedback needed to push your work to the next level. We move through the basic principles of formatting and three-act structure, to eventually focus on the most critical part of screenwriting, which is revision. Identifying what’s working, diagnosing what isn't, and chipping away to a more polished script. An ideal environment for those looking to shake off the rust, refine their voice, and hone a rough draft into a submission-ready project through consistent peer workshops and guided development.
