Overview

Step into the world of jazz guitar! This class introduces adult guitarists with a basic foundation to explore the style, from smooth chord voicings and comping patterns to swing rhythm and introductory improvisation. Throughout the course, students will build confidence while discovering essential jazz techniques and developing a strong sense of groove. Guitarists will learn how to read and interpret chord charts and play through jazz standards.

Class size is limited to seven students, ensuring personalized attention and a focused learning environment.

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of chords, scales and styles required.

Please note: Students must bring their own guitar to class.
