Explore the expressive potential of gouache as you capture light in the landscape. In this in-studio workshop, you’ll work from photographic references to observe how color and value shift throughout the day, from soft morning light to more dramatic sunsets and nocturnes. Beginning with wet-into-wet underlayers to establish atmosphere and depth, you’ll then build opaque passages to develop light, shadow, and texture. Designed for intermediate to advanced painters, this workshop offers a focused, hands-on approach to translating light and space with confidence.
