Parkbench Plus
Ages 20 Months - 3.5 years (Children must be 20 Months - 3.5 years at the start of the session)
Join us at Parkbench Plus, where your toddler can enjoy extended playtime and creative activities, all while building the skills necessary for preschool success, and you can connect with a community of supportive parents and caregivers.
Parkbench Plus is an extension of our Parkbench class but is designed for slightly older toddlers who are ready for more engaging activities. This 75-minute class continues to focus on social interaction, cognitive development, and preschool readiness, while adding a weekly group art or sensory activity to further stimulate your child’s creativity and fine motor skills. Children must be accompanied to each class by one adult. Parents, caregivers, or other family members are welcome!
Key Features:
Lively Playtime: The class begins with open playtime, where toddlers can explore, choose activities, and engage in free play that supports cognitive development and extends their attention span.
Group Art/Sensory Activity: Each week features a group art or sensory activity, allowing toddlers to express themselves creatively, explore different textures and materials, and work on fine motor skills in a collaborative setting.
Age-Appropriate Activities: Structured activities tailored to your child’s developmental stage continue to foster cognitive growth, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, social interactions, and imaginative play.
Circle Time: We wrap up each session with Circle Time, including songs, stories, and group activities that enhance language skills and reinforce a sense of community.
Preschool Readiness: Just like Parkbench, Parkbench Plus is an excellent stepping stone for preparing your child for preschool. With added focus on group activities and extended playtime, your toddler will build confidence, follow routines, and develop the skills needed for a smooth transition to a preschool environment.
Adult Connection: As the children explore and learn, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with parents and caregivers, share experiences, and receive guidance from our experienced leader. It’s a supportive environment for building friendships and finding community.
