“A brilliant musician and an extraordinary visionary” – Wall Street Journal
The eminent Pierre-Laurent Aimard is one of music’s most acclaimed thinker-pianists, revered as an interpreter of works by both classical titans and modern masters. He returns following two brilliant performances on our stage last season with his compelling program Intimacy. Paying tribute to the composers he calls “the masters of the intimate,” the program seamlessly bridges centuries, weaving classical miniatures by Mozart and Schubert with radical contemporary micro-compositions by Kurtág, Schoenberg, and Webern. Aimard ingeniously takes the listener on a cohesive, deeply atmospheric journey, redefining the emotional weight of a solo piano recital. A don’t-miss-it performance by one of the great pianists of our time.
Online streaming also available for 72 hours following the performance.
