Elevate your shoemaking abilities and craft your own stylish and wearable footwear with artist and designer Emily Putterman-Handler.  Designed for individuals who have completed the introductory shoemaking class or have prior experience, this class delves into the intricacies of creating ballerina flats and pumps. You will master various techniques, including pattern making, upper construction, cutting and assembling, and the incorporation of essential components such as toe puff and heel stiffeners. Insoles and lasting techniques will also be explored in detail, ensuring a comfortable and professional finish for your footwear. Emily will guide you through the entire process with hands-on activities, demonstrations, and valuable handouts on sourcing materials. Furthermore, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts who will assist in fitting your creations with high-quality outsoles and heels, making them ready for the streets.
