Using still life as a point of departure, you’ll explore how observation and interpretation can work together in watercolor. Working from arranged objects, you’ll consider how to translate form, color, and light while making thoughtful decisions about what to emphasize, shift, or simplify. Through demonstrations and guided practice, you’ll build structure with watercolor, develop nuanced color relationships, and create a sense of cohesion within your compositions.
