Overview

In this hands-on ceramics workshop, you’ll learn to create unique, abstract vessels by combining wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. Through sketches, measurements, and drawings, you’ll develop a concept and translate it into a three-dimensional ceramic form.

You will wheel throw multiple components, then trim, cut, alter, reshape, and assemble them into expressive sculptural vessels. Along the way, you’ll explore proportion, structure, and creative clay construction while discovering new ways to combine thrown and hand-built forms.
