Young Musicians: First Instruments

Young Musicians: First Instruments

Overview

Young Musicians: First Instruments helps children ages 4-5 prepare for the next stage of music study. Through singing, rhythm work, movement, listening activities, and age-appropriate classroom instruments, students develop steady beat, musical memory, coordination, ensemble awareness, and curiosity about different ways to make music.

This class gives families a thoughtful bridge from preschool music into group classes or private lessons. It is especially useful for children who are beginning to show interest in piano, violin, guitar, percussion, voice, ukulele, or another instrument but are not yet ready to choose a single path.
