*All drawing mediums are welcome! You may choose any medium other than oil paints.

For dry medium:

• Graphite pencils (2H, 2B, 6B if you don’t get an entire set)

• Vine charcoal sticks or charcoal blocks

• Drawing paper (recommendations: weight: 80 lb or heavier; size: 12” by 16” or larger; white or toned surface) or newsprint (for charcoal; size: 18” by 24” or larger) 

• Kneaded eraser

• Pencil sharpener 

• Optional: long point sharpener; sand paper; plastic eraser; color pencils or soft white coal (if used on toned paper)

For wet medium:  

• Watercolor paper (weight: 100lb or thicker; size: 12” by 16” or larger; recommendations: buy a large sheet of watercolor or printmaking paper and divide it into multiple sheets or a pad)

• Mixing tray: 3-5 small round dish ink disc painting trays, a multi-well porcelain tray or a butcher tray 

• Paints: Ultramarine Blue and 3 other colors of your choice in tubes

• Brushes:

○ Two round short handle brushes (one small and the other in size 8 or larger)

○ One larger shorter handle flat brush in size 3⁄4” or larger

•  TWO cups for water

• Optional: a small bottle of clear gesso or white gesso (Liquitex or any acrylic medium brands)
