For more than 70 years, 92nd Street Y has been a source of performing arts and a voice for literature. The Unterberg Poetry Center has hosted the nation’s leading authors through its reading series and has furthered the literary arts through its diverse programming. In 1990, 92Y’s musical and literary programs united under the auspices of the Tisch Center for the Arts, endowed through a generous gift from the Joan H. and Preston Robert Tisch Foundation.
