Pearl & Bead Knotting for Absolute Beginners

Overview

Two classic styles of knotted necklaces: traditional knotted pearls on spool silk with French wire, and a necklace with space between pearls and/or beads using carded silk/nylon and bead tips. Demonstrations of both techniques will be shown Students will make a sample of each style of necklace, then spend the rest of the day focusing on a the method they have selected.  Instructor will provide some supplies and will have the rest available at the workshop for modest prices. Handouts for both techniques as well as sources for materials will also be covered.  Instructor will also advise on repairs of knotted necklaces.
