Perpetuity, an evening of sharing dance and theater works by Omri Drumlevich.
Join Omri Drumlevich and a group of collaborating artists for an evening where characters, voices, and dance emerge from and return to one of humanity’s most ancient forms of sharing stories, prayers, and movement: the sacred circle.
At a time when divisive forces seem to operate tirelessly, coming together feels more meaningful than ever. We invite you to gather in the round — to connect, reflect on the past, present, and future, and find solidarity with all living beings.
Drumlevich’s work explores the complexities of human nature through theological, philosophical, and ethical questions. Drawing inspiration from mythology, cosmology, life on stage, and the enchanting power of movement, patterns, and ritual, his work brings together the cosmic and the earthly, the human and the fantastic, the personal and the universal, the private and the public, the abstract and the contextual.
This year marks a decade of Drumlevich’s work as an independent choreographer. Join us in celebrating this journey and setting intentions for the decade to come.
Throughout the evening, audiences will be invited into a shared space of curiosity and reflection, including an open conversation with the performing artists — an opportunity to ask questions, exchange thoughts, and explore the work together.
About Fridays in Arnhold
Fridays in Arnhold honors the legacy of Fridays at Noon, the beloved informal performance and discussion series established at the Harkness Dance Center in 1987. For decades, Fridays at Noon offered artists a welcoming space to test ideas, share works-in-progress, and engage audiences in the creative process.
Fridays in Arnhold carries that spirit forward, continuing 92NY’s longstanding tradition of supporting experimentation, artistic exchange, and the creation of new work. In the intimate setting of the Arnhold Dance Studio, audiences have a rare opportunity to experience dance artists’ creative processes up close.
Each free, informal evening is shaped by the featured artist and may include works in process, excerpts, improvisation, conversation, or Q&A. Audiences are invited into the room as artists experiment, share ideas, and develop their work.
Space is limited and R.S.V.P. is required.
