Overview

Back by popular demand: Grab your lederhosen, warm up those vocal cords and join us for a new 92NY holiday season tradition — the second annual Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music Sing-A-Long, hosted once again by the incomparable two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole.

Last year’s Sing-A-Long was a sold-out celebration — the kind of exuberant, only-at-92NY evening people were talking about long after the final note. The hills are alive again. Don’t miss your chance to sing along!

Experience the beloved 1965 movie musical as it was meant to be enjoyed: on the big screen, surrounded by fellow fans and with absolutely no expectation that you’ll stay quiet. Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer star in the unforgettable story of Maria and the von Trapp family, accompanied by Rodgers & Hammerstein classics including “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” and, of course, “The Sound of Music.” The film will be presented in a spectacular 4K Ultra HD digital master, complete with onscreen lyrics so everyone can join in.

Come early to pick up your complimentary tote bag filled with surprises to make the experience even more fun, and learn how to participate throughout the screening with an interactive light show during some of the film’s most memorable moments. Costumes are enthusiastically encouraged, whether you arrive as Maria, a von Trapp, a lonely goatherd or in your finest curtain couture.
