From the moment you even think about starting a family, The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center is here to support you. We know that as well as the wonders and rewards, every stage of parenting can bring new challenges.

Our programs are designed to help you navigate the perplexities of parenting from pre-natal care, classes for babies, toddler development, separation classes, and more.

Plus, parents and caregivers who visit us form lifelong friendships here — parent communities are built here, and we welcome our families back for parenting advice and caregiver support at every stage of family life.

Wendy Goldstein

Director

Wendy is the Director of The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center. She previously served as the Associate Director and has worked as an educator in the program. Wendy works with parents as a valuable resource, guiding and supporting them through their early parenting years. She directs all aspects of the Parenting Center from admissions to programming and works closely with other departments at 92NY including the Nursery School. Wendy has a Master’s Degree from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and an AB in History from Bryn Mawr College. Before joining the Parenting Center, she worked as a psychotherapist with adolescents and teens.

Wendy has maintained a connection to The 92nd Street Y, New York throughout her adult life. She lived briefly in the 92NY Residence after college and later returned as a new mom to the Parenting Center. She has two adult daughters who attended the Nursery School, camps, art classes and Connect. Wendy lives in Manhattan with her husband.

Paige Corbet

Associate Director

Paige is excited to have recently joined The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center. With Master’s Degrees in Education and Social Work from Bank Street College of Education and Hunter College School of Social Work, Paige has over 15 years of experience working with infants, toddlers and their families. She thrives in the classroom environment, having led toddler classes and a two’s program at another NYC preschool for many years, and feels the connection with parents is integral to working with young children. Working one-on-one with families in their home environment through the Early Intervention program extensively influenced her practice in supporting all families.

Paige and her husband have three young children and live in Manhattan. You might run into all of them at 92NY classes or a city playground.

Karen Blumberg

Karen Blumberg started out as a Parenting Center member, taking her newborn son to our New Mother, New Baby classes over 17 years ago – and she hasn’t left yet! She has been on the staff of The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center for over a decade, teaching all ages of our Parkbench Program, Art Books and More, Kids in the Kitchen and 2s Together. She graduated with BA from Brown University with a degree in Literature and a minor in Fine Arts. Karen has a son and daughter who attended the Nursery School, camps K’Ton Ton and Yomi and swam on the 92NY Flying Dolphins Swim team. Karen lives in Manhattan with her husband and their dog.

Alice W. Dunsker

Alice Dunsker has been teaching Baby Massage and supporting parents at 92NY for more than two decades. For her, baby massage is a restorative experience for little ones and an ideal way to build the parent and baby bond. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia and obtained a permanent teaching certificate from SUNY Brockport. Alice is also a graduate of the Swedish Institute of Massage and is a certified Infant Massage Instructor from Loving Touch Foundation. She is also trained as a Labor Doula.

Claire Lewin

Claire Lewin has over 20 years of teaching experience, ranging from kindergarten to 1st and 2nd grades. She has been at The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center for over ten years and her two children attended the Parenting Center when they were younger. Claire received both a BS in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, and Special Education from Adelphi University.

Claire is the proud parent of two adult children. She lives on the UWS with her husband, dog and Clyde the turtle.

Andrea Scannell

Andrea Scannell is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and holds a Masters Degree in education. At 92nd Street Y, Andrea teaches the prenatal breastfeeding workshop and runs the weekly breastfeeding support group. Andrea also teaches infant care and breastfeeding classes and runs breastfeeding and new mom support groups in various venues throughout Manhattan and Queens. She also works one on one with families in their homes to help them adjust to life with a baby and to get breastfeeding off to the best possible start!

Alice Keimweiss

Alice spent 17 years teaching in museums and New York City schools before joining the 92NY in 2009. She has worked in various aspects of education throughout her career, initially with a focus on art and technology and now in early education. In addition to teaching Alice worked on curriculum development, teacher training and curriculum integration. She also spent several years as a freelance education writer. Alice grew up taking classes at the 92NY, returned as a young adult to take art classes and then again as a new mother when she brought her infant twins to classes at The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center. Alice taught our twins class, Parkbench and Kids in the Kitchen before happily landing in the 2s/3s Together program.

She has a BA from Northwestern University and a M.A. and an Ed.M. from Columbia University’s Teachers College. Alice is the proud mother of four children, all of whom loved their 92NY Parenting Center classes. Alice and her husband are happy to be raising their family in Carnegie Hill.

Betsy spent 30+ years practicing architecture before joining The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center in 2021. So far, she has taught January 2’s, Art Books and More, and Kids in the Kitchen. After raising her 3 daughters, she happily returned to the UES where she now lives. When she’s not at the 92NY, Betsy enjoys spending time with her new grandson and getting in touch with her creative side through collage and calligraphy.

Candace Perkin

Candace Perkin has over 20 years of experience working in NYC private schools. Her career began in the Silver Room in the Nursery School, and she is so happy to return to 92NY in The Lipschultz Parenting Center. Candace has worked with children ranging from 2 years old through 3rd grade. She has also worked in admissions at The Avenues School and Temple Israel. Candace received her BS in Early Childhood from Boston University and a Master's in Early Childhood from Bank Street College. Candace enjoys spending time with her husband, children and her two dogs!
