The Women inPower Fellowship is a yearlong, cross-sector program designed to equip women-identifying professionals with the tools, mentorship, and peer network they need to rise to the highest levels of leadership. An initiative of the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at 92NY, Women inPower is rooted in a legacy of civic engagement and powered by a community committed to inclusive leadership and social change.
The fellowship has served hundreds of women and counting, with many crediting the program with helping them progress in their professional journeys. Each year, fellows from across industries participate in curated workshops, 1:1 mentorship, and executive-level conversations that address the challenges and opportunities women face at the top of their fields.
In 2025, we introduced the Neurodivergent Leaders Cohort—a dedicated track within the fellowship that supports professionals who think and learn differently, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other forms of neurodivergence. Fellows in this track participate in the core program offerings plus expert-led programming that centers the lived experiences of neurodivergent leaders. The Neurodivergent Leaders Cohort has drawn national attention—including recent features in Forbes and Able News—as a bold new model for empowering neurodivergent professionals.
Whether you’re looking to reach the next level in your career, earn a promotion, increase your earning potential, start a new venture, or drive change inside a large institution, the Women inPower Fellowship provides the space, structure, and support to grow and lead.
Apply
We encourage women-identifying professionals across sectors to apply—especially those who are ready to grow their leadership, connect with a powerful network, and invest in creating a more equitable workplace culture. Fellows are selected based on professional experience, leadership potential, and alignment with the program’s values.

Applicants should be approximately 3–5 years away from the C-suite (or equivalent). We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, including all races and ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, religions, and abilities.
What are the different cohorts within Women inPower?
Between 2016 and 2024, Women inPower supported annual cohorts of approximately 25–30 women-identifying professionals through its flagship Fellowship. In 2025, we launched our 10th anniversary NYC Cohort and introduced our first program expansion: the Neurodivergent Leaders Cohort, which offers tailored programming for neurodivergent professionals.
There is one application for both cohorts. Applicants must be based in the NYC metro or tri-state area to be considered for the NYC Cohort. Applicants who self-identify as neurodivergent and live anywhere in the United States may opt in to be considered for the virtual, national Neurodivergent Leaders Cohort.
For more information about the Neurodivergent Leaders Cohort, including programming details and additional FAQs, visit the Neurodivergent Leaders Cohort page.
How much does it cost to participate?
The Women inPower Fellowship is completely free. However, participants are responsible for incidental costs (such as transportation or materials) related to in-person events.

What is the time commitment?
Fellows participate in workshops and events from January to December. Sessions are typically two hours long and held weekday evenings between 6–8 PM ET, with an average commitment of 1–2 engagements per month. The NYC Cohort workshops will include one special in-person community service event. Fellows are required to attend at least 80% of the workshops. Fellows are also expected to connect with their mentors quarterly and are encouraged to attend additional networking and community-building opportunities.
How are fellows matched with mentors?
Each fellow is paired with a mentor—an experienced executive from a top organization—based on sector, goals, and interests. Mentors and fellows meet at least four times throughout the year for 1:1 guidance and support.
