Brad Mehldau Trio

Overview

“The most influential jazz piano trio of the last two decades.” – Financial Times

The revered Grammy-winning pianist follows his sold-out 92NY solo concert in 2025 with an engagement with his renowned trio. Bassist Larry Grenadier helped define Mehldau’s lyrical trio language over decades. Drummer Marcus Gilmore is a quicksilver next-generation talent. Together with Mehldau they form an ensemble that honors tradition with fresh momentum.

A Mehldau Trio set is often a blend of originals, standards, and covers, all marked by intellectual depth and emotional warmth. Among the critical acclaim: “[Mehldau] transforms material without betraying its soul” (Jazz Times). Distinguished by the intimacy of their musicmaking, the trio’s silence is as compelling as their music. Don’t miss the chance to hear them in the near-perfect acoustics of NYC’s finest concert hall for jazz.
