Share Our America is an initiative that rebuilds trust and increases civic engagement. Led by local leaders across the country, Share Our America gatherings bring people together to strengthen the communities they share.
Created in collaboration with experts in cross-cultural dialogue, Share Our America uses research-backed strategies proven to promote trust and build friendships across differences. During Share Our America gatherings and events, individuals connect through shared meals, local activities, social events, and facilitated conversations. Instead of looking to change people’s minds — which opens the door to bias, judgment, and fear — we build the foundation necessary to listen without judgment and to show up for each other.
Developed by the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at The 92nd Street Y, New York (92NY), Share Our America has been used to support dialogue on community safety in towns and cities across the United States.
