Spark Your Health is joined by journalist and bestselling author Stephen Perrine, and practicing gastroenterologist & health correspondent, Dr. Roshini Raj, to discuss new and groundbreaking ways of eating that can reverse inflammation, heal your gut, and improve your overall health, fitness and athletic performance, while setting you on the path to easy, sustainable weight loss for life.
This conversation will delve into the exciting research and themes from Stephen Perrine’s newest book, The Full-Body Fat Fix: The Science-Based 7-Day Plan to Cool Inflammation, Heal Your Gut, and Build a Healthier, Leaner You! Learn about the “The Fire Fightin’ Five” recipes that can add 30 different plants per week into your diet. Learn about if superfoods are all they are cracked up to be for our gut health. Stephen Perrine and Dr. Roshini Raj will explore the science behind how chronic inflammation and an unhealthy microbiome are the underlying cause of weight gain and discuss themes around how classic “dieting” strategies — like cutting calories, eliminating certain foods, or only eating during specific times — can possibly undermine our weight management goals.
Did you know that the newest research studies show that the healthiest guts have the lowest risk of heart disease, depression, diabetes, and even Alzheimer's? This discussion aims to answer questions such, what is the “gut,” how to create a healthier microbiome, and how we can turn off the mechanisms that cause inflammation. Learn about marketing gimmicks and how even our assumed “healthy” habits can be the opposite of what our bodies need. We hope you will join us for this dynamic discussion on the new, science-backed strategies for weight management, gut health, and food choices, that will make it easier for you to reach your weight goals, lower the risk of diseases, and feel better overall.
