The 92NY Nursery School is known not only for its talented teachers and incredible programming, but also for its strong and committed parent community. Each new year offers a time of learning, growth, friendship, and fun for the entire family. The friendship parents develop with one another continue long after their children leave our school.

Our hope is that every parent will become involved in our school community in their own way. Given our many school events and initiatives, there are volunteer opportunities to accommodate every parent’s schedule. The Annual Book Fair, Bake Sale, Mitzvah Committees, and Gardening Committees are all parent driven. Our Annual Benefit relies heavily on parent volunteers, as well, and is a fun, rewarding way to give back to our school community. We invite children’s extended family members to be our guests at Special Visitors’ Day and become involved through our Grandparent and Special Friends Committee.

Families in our Nursery School Community have access to the world class programming available at the 92nd Street Y throughout the year, including the 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center, numerous classes for children and adults, special speaking events focusing on early childhood development with experts in their fields, and the renowned 92NY Talks Series.
