92NY Harkness Dance Center Presents

Fridays in Arnhold

Fridays in Arnhold honors the legacy of Fridays at Noon, the beloved informal performance and discussion series established at the Harkness Dance Center in 1987. For decades, Fridays at Noon offered artists a welcoming space to test ideas, share works-in-progress, and engage audiences in the creative process.

Fridays in Arnhold carries that spirit forward, continuing 92NY’s longstanding tradition of supporting experimentation, artistic exchange, and the creation of new work. In the intimate setting of the Arnhold Dance Studio, audiences have a rare opportunity to experience dance artists’ creative processes up close.

Each free, informal evening is shaped by the featured artist and may include works in process, excerpts, improvisation, conversation, or Q&A. Audiences are invited into the room as artists experiment, share ideas, and develop their work.

The renovation of the Arnhold Studio was made possible by Jody and John Arnhold I Arnhold Foundation and by public funding from the New York City Council and Office of the Manhattan Borough President, and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
